My thoughts??

In today's world, as American's, the internet has connected us all. Because of that, we are able to talk to almost anyone about anything. Just as we are able to see societies leaders almost all the time doing whatever it is that they do. We are the ones that decide who those people are as well. Actually we kind of just do whatever the media tells us to do, but at the same time, so many ignorant people do exactly what the media tells them to do thinking that it is exactly what they want to do and thinking that they made that decision on their own. So while public opinion is orchestrated by a higher power for the people that can't make decisions for themselves, do I think it's important?? ABSOLUTELY. Why? Because no matter who makes people feel the way they do, that's how they feel. And it's the dumb ones you have to watch out for. The dumb ones, and the poor ones. Because the dumb ones aren't afraid to do something crazy and the poor ones have nothing to lose. What am I referring to when I say "something crazy"? I'm referring to the riots, and I'm referring to people losing their minds. The smart people, the middle class and up, they aren't doing that. Will Smith isn't going to be involved in any riots any time soon. Neither will Leonardo Dicaprio. You see, this may sound off topic, but not if you look more closely. Public opinion is EVERYTHING. Why? Because Will Smith and Leo aren't the public. They are higher up. They are away from this. The public is us! The public is all the normal people. And our opinion clearly matters. Because big government doesn't take that into consideration. They try to "David Blaine" us with magic tricks. Until eventually, people find out they've been deluded their whole life. And they get pissed off. Then they feel like their government is lying and backwards. Then the begin a silent revolt. A "we're not gonna take it" kind of thing. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT LEADS TO?? That leads to having a crooked, lying politician and a crooked, lying businessman as your 2 presidential candidates because there are so many extremists on both sides of the fence. Because public opinion, if it's strong enough, will eventually make people pick a side. Because public opinion is so important that if it's toxic, it will implode.

Classify THAT!

I've met a lot of different people. There are SO MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF PEOPLE it blows my mind to even think about it. Tracing back though, there are certain people that are too hard to forget and not talk about. There was a guy I met named Carl that worked with me at Hardee's. This guy was too much. He was a retired marine and only worked at Hardee's because he liked to cook and knew he could quit whenever and he'd be fine. The day Carl quit, he gave me a magnifying glass as a token of friendship and then proceeded to curse our manager out. She was awful, our manager. Carl, on the other hand, was the best. Then there was this one time at a party. It was an eventful evening, but it had led to a superbowl party. I was younger, and as a 17 year old, my friends and I were only concerned about getting some alcohol at the party. Then I met Beau. He was super drunk, and he was super cool. Me and the bros asked if he would get us each a jello shot. He came out with 12 jello shots(let me remind you it was only me and 2 other friends). That was only the beginning. That was the night that the high school kids turned up at the adult party and got caught but didn't care because it was worth it! Then there was that one time I was at the tailgate in Sylva. Oh yes, that's where I met my friend Micah. He was different. Black cut off tanktop that said ACDC. Super drunk, but still pretty sober. Hard to explain what that means, but that's what he was. He peed on a Marine's car midway through the tailgate and got his head slammed into my best friend JD's car. But he made it through, and once the dust was settled, he was gone. Micah paid for JD's car(mostly because the university threatened to file a civil suit against him if he didn't) and we've all stayed friends. So many interesting people in this world. But the one that takes the cake for me is my buddy Will from high school. Will was the weirdest guy I've ever met. I mean his looks, his jokes, his style. Will was nobody but himself. That's why I liked him and respected him. He was the man. And he liked me too. I only know that because he told me he liked me, the same way he told others he didn't like them. Oh yes, Will was a lot of things, but he wasn't fake, and he wasn't a coward. He was the real deal.

Define with Specifics

What is a Cynic? A cynic is a person who believes that people are motivated purely by self-interest rather than acting for honorable or unselfish reasons. That's the dictionary definition, but lets take it farther. How does a cynic feel all the time? Well, cynical, of course. But how do they actually feel? What is going on in their mind? Lets think about this. If a regular person sees a happy couple walking down the street on a Sunday evening, their first thought is how cute the couple is, how happy they must be, how wonderful things are. When a cynic sees a couple walking down the street, their first thought is that they are probably putting on a show, which one is cheating on the other, how many skeletons are they hiding in that walk in closet? When a regular person finds out someone is doing financially well, they're naturally envious but also happy for the person. When a cynic finds out someone is doing financially well, they can only ask themselves what that person is doing illegally to make all that money. Cynics have one reaction when they see good things, and one reaction when they see bad things. Good things make them cringe because of all the BS behind them, and bad things reassure them that they are right for being cynical about everything. And honestly, cynics want to care very badly. But somewhere along the way their world was shattered and their cynicism is what keeps anyone from ever doing that to them again. 

Look for the Reason

Some people join cults because...
1. They are looking for a family environment.
2. They are looking for a reason for living.
3. They are looking for something that they think they are missing in life.
Some people fall in love with serial killers because...
1. There's a "bad boy" factor.
2. Forbidden love.
3. They themselves have the same feelings and admire someone who acts on them.
People like to stare at fires because...
1. Even today, fires are an amazing thing that can keep humans alive.
2. They are warm, bright, cozy, everything a human wants in life.
3. It's something nice to stare at while you're in deep thought.
Children are more likely to laugh at slapstick comedies than adults because...
1. The humor for the most part is simpleminded.
2. Adults think they are above it for the most part.
3. Physical humor is a huge part of it which children for the most part find hilarious.
People collect things like beer mugs, ceramic dolls, and owls because...
1. It's a nice hobby to keep them from losing their minds.
2. It's something to look forward to everyday in this dreary world.
3. So they can turn them in for money.

Some people like serial killers because it really is a toxic mixture of forbidden love. Harley Quinn in "Batman" is the perfect example. She's a psychiatrist who falls for her murderous, psychotic patient, The Joker. In a way, it's obvious that Harley Quinn isn't all there because of the Joker being able to turn her bad. However, that's not the only way of looking at it. The Joker is a master manipulator, and he could turn even a very smart person crazy given enough time. I think there are a lot of factors that go into this kind of thing, but I think that the most common is that people just want was is forbidden. Always being on the light side gets boring. Sometimes, you just need to experience the dark side.

Get Mad

Do you know what really grinds my gears? Let me start out by saying there are A LOT of things that irritate me to the point of pulling my hair out, but to avoid any controversy, I'll lay off the profanity, even though it's everything I have in me to do this. First off, I hate people that drive the speed limit in the fast lane on the interstate. ITS THE FAST LANE, MOVE!! It was created for people like me that don't want to wait on slow people who don't know how to drive.What else do I hate, coming straight from the list, the parents with the "my kids an honor student" bumper sticker on the back of their car. These parents can eat it, and their little honor student TODD can watch. I mean, is your child such a loser that all you have to brag about is that they ARE a nerd? I don't understand this world. Here's something else I hate, when I hear kids yell at their parents in person and THE PARENT DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT! Do you know what, I have a good feeling that this is TODD the "honor student" all grown up and he's more of a loser than his parents could have imagined. His kid, yelling at him, and he's not going to do anything about it. What else bothers me? I know what, when I go to a fast food restaurant and they mess up my order. I've worked fast food, taking an order is simple instructions. If you can't do it, you're an idiot. Worst of all, when I ask for 5 packs of sauce, and you give me one, WHATS THE BIG IDEA?! They say,"I'm sorry sir, we gotta charge you for that." Really? Well why did you wait on me to get the bag of food, sift through, and find out that you're a complete idiot before you told me that? I didn't ask for 5 packs of sauce because I deep down only want one and you were smart enough to figure that out with your unbelievable detective skills. I asked for 5 packs of sauce because I want 5 packs of sauce!!! And then you get home after getting your 5 packs of sauce and find out that they didn't even give you your food. I bet his name was Todd..

Confession Time

Out of all the addictions I've ever had, binge watching shows has always been one of my worst. There was, however, one show that takes the cake on having me hooked more than any other show. That for sure is "Parks and Recreation". For those who don't know, it was created by Greg Daniels, who also co-created the well known show "The Office". The style of comedy in "Parks and Rec", as it's called by fans, is very similar to "The Office", mostly dry with ridiculous situations. I originally started watching the show because a girl I was talking to recommended it. Although her and I didn't work out, it was okay, because I was pretty much in a full time relationship with the show once I started watching it. For anyone who likes amazing character development that will keep you laughing until the very last episode (because at the end, it turns from laughter to tears), it's easily addicting. I remember I would literally think about the show all the time and compare it to everything I was doing. While it was a super addiction at the time, I was able to kick it because eventually, you can only watch a show so many times. Even when I flip through Netflix now, if I pass the show there's a big part of me that wants to watch it. It's not that I want to watch the entire show, but there are those episodes that never get old that always get you sucked back in. One day, probably a rainy day when there's nothing to do but watch your favorite shows on Netflix in your favorite comfy clothes, I will watch this show all the way through again. I also plan on using this show to decide if I've found my soulmate or not, because if she doesn't, it's not meant to be, that is for sure.
